American Brothers Book One
Synopsis
Embracing the opportunity to become a drug smuggler, I had clear-cut goals; make money, buy a sailboat, get out while I was ahead and cruise the South Pacific, but internal destructive forces, that had control over my life, assisted me, and would lead me towards discovering who I was and what I really wanted in life.
Set in San Francisco and Mexico during the "Brotherhood Era" when music, drugs, and brotherly love flowed freely; three young
renegades-- an older brother, a second born, and an older friend-- link up. These young seekers embrace brotherhood and spiritual growth at a time when 30 million young Americans are testing the same waters: making money, turning on, tuning in, and damning the system run strong at their core.
Mexico is the land of plenty for marijuana and the renegades seize on this opportunity, bringing contraband over the border hidden under the floorboards of their contact's truck. When duplicity creates havoc, Frank breaks free of his dominate older
brother-- along with his trusted friend, they form a drug ring based on brotherhood percepts. With experience and success their operation grows, until they have their own plane, pilots and private landing strip; but along the way disaster
strikes-- again and again.
At the pinnacle of their success, a promise is broken. Frank must decide which road to take as he and his partner must find a means to co-exist and contend with the law, their spurious adversaries and driving emotional forces that control and guide their fragile psyches toward self-destruction.
"In Book One, significant
suspense is in high-gear as is a plot that gets richer and thicker by the
page..."
